So, I cant believe it has been over a year since I have said ANYTHING on this. Just a few things have changed, but surprisingly, not much. I guess the biggest thing is that I graduated from college on Saturday!! I have no idea where the past four years went to. Other than that...my sister gave birth to by little niece Brianna back in August. I can't believe she is almost a year old now. I remember holding her the day she was born, now I get pictures and she is getting so big!!
People keep asking me what my plans are now that I have graduated and honestly, I wish I knew. I plan to go to graduate school to get my doctorate in physical therapy. My senior year was beyond demanding and very stressful. I fell behind getting my applications in, so I was only able to apply to 2 schools. 1 is Thomas Jefferson University in Philly, the other is the University of St. Augustine outside of Jacksonville, FL. Either one would be great but each has their own pros and cons. In any case, I have a job set up. I will be working in the labs again. Not really what I want to be doing but it does pay the bills. If I am not able to start school in the fall at Jeff, I am trying for January start at USA. Otherwise, I will be working for a year and then reapplying for the following fall. It's okay though, saving some money while I live at home isn't a bad thing.
Craig and I are great! Craig was accepted to Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh and he will be starting there in the fall. He is going to be there for a year and then he has to be in California for 8 months...it is going to be an adventure. Craig graduated with me on Saturday too, it was really neat to watch him walk across the stage. He graduated summa cum laude, honors in the discipline, in the honors program, freshman honors society, historical honors society, and then I think there was something else. Just a little impressive I thought.
As for the rest of the people around me. Parents are doing well, not much has changed with them. Papa is here visiting which is really nice. It also gives me an excuse to take a week off before I go back to work. I know Craig is going to get on my case about this part, but too bad. I have started to notice that A LOT of our friends are starting to get engaged/married. It is getting a little crazy. Congrats to all of them, but it really is starting to get out of hand. Even our gay friends are getting engaged!!! I will say that I am eagerly awaiting the day when it is my turn, however, it is not my place to say when. I am okay with that, but it is hard.
I am so glad that summer is here! This should be an interesting summer, but a fun one as well. Really looking forward to the end of June/beginning of July. We have a huge trip planned and Craig is able to come with us! We are starting out going to Las Vegas for a few night, then flying into SLC where we will rent a car and DRIVE all the way to Sheridan. We are having a family reunion there over 4th of July. It will be crazy having the whole family together again. After Sheridan we are driving back to SLC, but we are going to take Craig through Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons...show him REAL mountains. SLC will be awesome too. It's only a few days but I get to see Lacey, Dewey, and Kristi, and have Craig see where I grew up. Really looking forward to Lagoon with Lacey and Dewey, it's been too long since I have ridden all those great rides. Then we have to come back and face reality. Hopefully we will be able to fit a concert in this summer. I am pushing to go see something in Atlantic City, but we will have to see.
Well, I think that is about all I have to say at the moment. Hopefully I will be better at posting more often than I have in the past year. Time will only tell.
